Ageing Innovation Accelerator

The deadline for applications for the 2019 Ageing Innovation Accelerator closed on 01 March 2019. Thank you to everyone who submitted applications, attended workshops and got involved in the discussions.

The accelerator will provide a package of support to help budding innovators bring their ideas to market includes up to £12,500 of investment from Northstar Ventures and 6 months office space on Newcastle Helix, courtesy of Newcastle City Council.

Eight ambitious businesses will be selected for the six-month programme and by October 2019, we’d like to have eight new products ready for commercialisation or significant further investment.

The Accelerator is open to any business based in the North East or planning to start up in the region. It is delivered in partnership by Innovation SuperNetwork, NICA, Ageing2.0, Northstar Ventures and Newcastle City Council. The programme is part-funded through the European Regional Development Fund.
